APPOINTMENTS & BOOKINGS
A formal quotation is prepared via email with the description of services.
For bookings starting before 7.30am there may be an early morning fee charged of $50.00.
In the unlikely event that the Client is not satisfied with the service performed then the Client must inform the artist booked doing the service, at the time of the booking and allow the artist a chance to rectify the service.
The travel fee is depending on your location from where the artist is travelling from and where you are located on the day of your event at the recommended current Kilometre rates, volume of booking numbers and Tolls. This may be invoiced separately from your service payment if we can’t provide a cost before the booking date, this includes trials outside of the Studio.
Parking will be extra if parking is required to do the booking. For some hotel-based bookings, parking will need to be charged to your hotel room or invoiced after the booking.
Please note that hair and makeup trials are not combined in the listed service price. Trials will incur an additional fee, which will be quoted separately and invoiced on service / booked date. Our Studio is based in Warkworth, mobile travel charges apply to any other location (see travel).
Hair and makeup trials are strongly recommended to ensure alignment on style preferences and to achieve the desired final look for the event. Clients are encouraged to arrange their trial date ensure availability, dates may vary due to high volume seasons.
Minimum Booking numbers of 6 services apply during weekend peak season dates.
DEPOSITS & PAYMENTS
We require a 50% deposit for all bookings, which is invoiced and required at the time of your confirmation, to secure your preferred booking date and time. We do however offer payment options including deposit lay-bys.
The final payment will be invoiced and to payments are required up to 2 weeks (14 days) before the booking.
Deposits are to secure your date. We ask that deposits are made within 48 hours of receipt of the official invoice/quotation, in the circumstance that we cannot hold bookings unless this is secured within the timeframe. We do not hold “pencilled-in or email/verbal/text bookings”.
All wedding day deposits, or any booking deposits are non-refundable.
At our discretion we may not send any artist to you unless your appointment is paid in full prior to your booking date/ time.
CANCELLATIONS & CHANGES, INDEMNITY & LIABILITY
Once your booking has been accepted and confirmed by payment of your booking fee, your booking party numbers cannot be decreased. Full payment of your advised booking number must be made, though you are welcome to find a substitution for your booking shortfall.
Minimum numbers may apply to some bookings, should your booking be for less, you may be required to pay the minimum booking amount.
Extra makeup applications and hairstyling can be requested on the day; however, these are subject to time constraints and other bookings and are at the discretion of the artist. These must be paid in full on the day of service, no exceptions.
If any additional applications are accepted on the day, responsibility of payment will be issued to the contracted client unless otherwise discussed.
The artist will do our utmost to ensure you leave when agreed, if you, your wedding party or booking party member, or other provider cause you to run late, your agreed be-ready time may be affected. Your stylist is not liable for this, or any fees incurred due to these situations.
Late fees will apply if you or your party arrives later the agreed and are not available to start makeup or hairstyling at our agreed start time. In the instance that you or your party arrive late, makeup application and hairstyling may be incomplete, and your artist may have to leave prior to all services being complete.
Cancellations up to; >6 months of your date will be refunded less 50% of your total fees, 5-1 month(s) will be refunded less 60% of your total fees, 1 month will be refunded less 70% of your total fees, any additional services such as trials and travel will not be a able to be a pro-rata against the final invoice. In the circumstance that the booking is postponed we are happy to raincheck the date provided availability by the artist.
Payment of your booking fee means you have understood and accept all listed terms and conditions.
By agreeing to the terms and conditions you indemnify any artist from Pure Makeup Artistry and its selected contracted artists, from and against all actions, demands, claims, suits, damages, liabilities, losses, settlements, judgements, costs and expenses.
The artist reserves the right to cancel your agreement at any time for any reason and retain your payment and all expenses, if it is due to clients’ and/or client representative's behavior, actions or inactions. This includes the day of your event. Aggressive, abusive, rude, discriminatory and/or obnoxious behavior will not be tolerated towards Pure Makeup Artistry or subcontractors.
In the event the artist is too ill, or tragic circumstances prevent the artist from attending your booking, all efforts will be taken to secure an artist of similar skill & price to complete the booking. If another artist is not available a full refund will be issued.
If the Client chooses to proceed without a trial, the Artist cannot guarantee the final result on the event date and shall not be held liable for dissatisfaction arising from the absence of a trial.
LOCATION & SETUP REQUIREMENTS
To ensure the best possible experience, we kindly request a well-lit space with plenty of natural light, a spacious table, and access to power outlets. If any of these requirements cannot be met, please let us know in advance.
For events held at a hotel, please confirm the exact location and room number via email or text before the day of the service.
Neither party shall be liable for any default due to any act of God, war, terrorism, strike, lock-out, industrial action, fire, flood, drought, storm or other event beyond the reasonable control of either party
